I am a third-generation Smithvillian, and I’ve been in Smithville for over 40 years. The kind of place where people wave from their porches. Where you run into friends at the grocery store and end up talking for 30 minutes. Where Friday nights still mean something.

I'm not a career politician. I'm a neighbor who has been paying attention. And I think our city council should work the way Smithville works: openly, honestly, and with respect for every person who lives here.

Over the years, I've watched this town grow. We've welcomed new neighbors, seen new businesses open on Main Street, and navigated the challenges that come with change. But through it all, what makes Smithville special hasn't changed. It's the people.

My community involvement has never been about building a resume. Whether it's volunteering at local events, supporting our schools, or simply helping out a neighbor in need, I've always believed that if you want a strong community, you have to help build it. I've invested my life here.

"I believe our city council should be as approachable as a neighbor over the fence. You shouldn't have to navigate red tape to get a straight answer."
